About BYD’s new ATTO 3 e-SUV

BYD Japan will announce the mid-size e-SUV “ATTO 3” on December 5, 2022, and release it on January 31, 2023. The ATTO 3’s dynamic exterior features a streamlined design and a sporty, bold front fascia. The interior is designed with a “fitness gym x music” motif, and features a center armrest inspired by a treadmill, door handles reminiscent of hand grips, and door trim that plays music when plucked, making the drive even more enjoyable.

The ATTO 3 is built on BYD’s proprietary e-Platform 3.0 platform, featuring the company’s proprietary Blade Battery. It boasts a 58.56kWh battery and a 150kW/310Nm motor, boasting a WLTC mode cruising range of 485km (according to the company’s research). The flat floor provides a spacious interior. It also boasts a full complement of advanced safety and driver assistance features, including a predictive emergency braking system, BYD Around View System, and blind spot information. It also supports V2L (Vehicle to Load) and V2H (Vehicle to Home) functions, enabling power supply during power outages and outdoor activities like camping, supporting the e-life of customers. By connecting a power supply, the ATTO 3 can also supply power to the home, making it ideal for use in emergencies.

The ATTO 3 also comes standard with a full range of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, including Navigation Pilot, which assists drivers within the same lane, Blind Spot Information, which supports blind spots, and an automatic emergency braking system. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and is equipped with connected functions via a communication module installed in the vehicle, supporting collaboration with the BYD smartphone app and OTA remote updates.
