Volkswagen unveiled the ID.3 GTX, a sports model of its battery electric vehicle (BEV), for the first time in the world on March 13, 2024 (local time).
About the Volkswagen battery EV “ID.3” GTX
There are two variants , the base model called the ” ID.3 GTX ” is equipped with a 282hp (286PS/210kW) motor and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.0 seconds. It has a top speed of 180km/h. While this isn’t particularly fast for a conventional electric car or hot hatch, it is more powerful and accelerates faster than the previous ID.3 (the previous ID.3 had 201hp (204PS/150kW) and could accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.3 seconds).
The ID.3 GTX Performance pushes the boundaries of electric vehicles even further, boasting a 322hp (326PS/240kW) motor for 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h. This is slightly faster than the promised figure for the bi-motor all-wheel-drive ID.X hot hatch concept, and means the fastest ID.3 is faster than the single-motor Tesla Model 3 (which can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds ).
Both models are equipped with a 79kWh battery for a range of 373 miles (600km). Charging is possible with 175kW. The suspension is tuned to suit the individuality of each model. GTX Performance : Standard DCC adaptive dampers improve comfort and body control.
