The theme of this year’s exhibition is “The History and Future of the Rotary Sports Car Concept.” Mazda’s booth will feature the RX500 (exhibited at the 1970 Tokyo Motor Show), an experimental vehicle equipped with a two-rotor rotary engine mounted in the rear midship, as well as the RX-EVOLV (exhibited at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show), which uses the compact, high-output RENESIS rotary engine to ensure a comfortable driving space for four adults while simultaneously achieving the outstanding driving performance of a sports car. Also on display will be the MAZDA ICONIC SP, a two-rotor Rotary-EV compact sports car concept that was well-received when it was exhibited at last year’s Japan Mobility Show 2023.
