Nissan made some changes to the specifications of the NV100 Clipper and NV100 Clipper Rio, renamed them the Clipper Van and Clipper Rio, and released them on March 26, 2024.
Nissan announces partial specification changes for the new Clipper Van and Clipper Rio
Both the Clipper Van and Clipper Rio models now feature a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in grades that previously had a 4AT/5AGS (5-speed automatic gear shift) transmission.
- A new transmission, CVT, has been adopted.
- Adopts 3-mode electronically controlled 4WD .
- The 4-speed AT and 5-speed AGS have been discontinued.
- New body colors will be added .

The Clipper Rio also changes from full-time 4WD to part-time 4WD, and is equipped with an electronically controlled 4WD system that can be switched between three modes: 2WD for normal driving, 4WD AUTO, which automatically controls drive power from 2WD to 4WD depending on road conditions, and 4WD LOCK, which is effective on unpaved farmland and mountain roads. LED headlights are standard equipment on all Clipper Rio models. New body colors have been added: Denim Blue and Moss Gray.

In addition, the “Clipper Van” has been re-installed with the “GX Turbo” model, which comes standard with automatic air conditioning and automatic sliding doors, and all vehicles are equipped with advanced safety technologies such as “Intelligent Emergency Braking (Collision Damage Reduction Braking)” and “Step Misapplication Collision Prevention Assist” as standard. New body colors have been added: Denim Blue, Cool Khaki, Moss Gray, and Snow Pearl White.
