Toyota India released a teaser video for a new compact SUV on its official YouTube channel on April 1, 2024. Pricing is scheduled to be announced on April 3, 2024. The car is said to be an OEM version of Suzuki’s new Fronx and will be called the Urban Cruiser Tiser.

The car in the video also features a new grille with distinctive LED daytime running lights and the Toyota emblem, as well as horizontal LED taillights. Toyota may add new 17-inch wheels in addition to redesigned front and rear bumpers, but Autocar India reports that the image was shared with Suzuki and is an OEM version of Suzuki’s new “Fronx.” Pricing is expected to be announced on April 3rd.

It has been said for some time that the new “Fronx” will be an OEM product for Toyota, and furthermore, due to the Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. fraud scandal, it has also been rumored that the “Urban Cruiser Tiser” will be the successor to the “Raize.”

The Suzuki FRONX is built on Suzuki’s latest Heartect platform, with a length of 3,995mm, width of 1,765mm, height of 1,550mm, and wheelbase of 2,520mm. It is 5mm longer, 20mm wider, and 50mm higher than the Suzuki Baleno, which has the same wheelbase. The FRONX’s footprint is roughly the same as that of the Suzuki Brezza.
About the exterior of the new Suzuki “FRONX”
The car is targeted at “young pioneers who want to stand out,” according to Frontus. The front end resembles the Grand Vitara with split headlights, a chrome insert in the grille, and an aluminum-style skid plate. With 17-inch aluminum wheels, pronounced fenders and rear shoulders, the profile is sportier. At the rear, the sloping rear glass, covered by a roof spoiler, is Suzuki’s first attempt at the coupe-SUV trend. The model also features full-width LED taillights and a sizeable aluminum-style skid plate that doubles as a diffuser.

Suzuki’s new “FRONX” interior
The dual-tone dashboard is similar to that of the Suzuki Baleno, but with a forged metal-like matte finish and high-gloss silver inserts for a slightly more premium feel. There’s a 9-inch touchscreen for infotainment that’s compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad, an Arkamys audio system, rear-seat air conditioning vents, six airbags and a suite of connected car features.





Suzuki’s new “FRONX” specifications
The Suzuki Front is available with two petrol options: a 1.0LK series BoosterJet turbocharged engine with mild hybrid technology producing 99 hp (74 kW/100 PS) and 148 Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox; and a 1.0LK series BoosterJet turbocharged engine with 89 hp (66 kW/90 PS) and 113 Nm of torque, mated to the front wheels via either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AGS automatic.
