About e:NP2 and e:NS2

The e:NP2 will be released by GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. on April 25, 2024. The e:NS2 will also be released by Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. in June 2024.

Based on the “e:N Architecture F” exclusive to the e:N series, Honda has pursued a dynamic driving experience that enhances the sense of unity between the car and the driver. The e:NP2 is equipped with an IPU (intelligent power unit) equipped with a large-capacity battery, and through control technology and low rolling resistance, has achieved a cruising range of 545km.

Equipped with an advanced and highly functional HMI (Human Machine Interface), the vehicle offers improved convenience and comfort through a large head-up display and lighting effects. It also comes equipped with connected technologies such as a 12.8-inch large display audio and Honda CONNECT 4.0. Furthermore, for the first time, an intelligent heating system is adopted to enhance comfort in winter.

The exterior combines the practicality of an SUV with the sleek design of a sedan, resulting in a sophisticated, future-oriented look. The interior features a clean, horizontal instrument panel and high-quality materials, providing a comfortable space. An aroma system is also installed, which diffuses your favorite scent into the vehicle.

Packed with the latest technology! Highlights of e:NP2

The e:NP2 is equipped with the latest EV powertrain, achieving a driving range of 545km. It also comes equipped with a wide range of advanced features, including a large head-up display, a 12.8-inch large display audio, the latest AI assistant, and a rear seat viewing camera.

Honda’s first aroma system allows you to select your favorite scent via the display audio or smartphone app and enjoy it in the car. Also, Honda’s first intelligent heating system, which reduces power consumption while improving comfort and quietness, is also adopted for the first time in a Honda vehicle.

Refined exterior design

The exterior of the e:NP2 adopts a new generation design language, enhancing its quality. The front features U-shaped headlights and an “H” emblem with lighting. The rear has a coupe-SUV style with a steeply sloping window, improving aerodynamic performance. The light design, unified with the front, enhances the car’s presence. The 18-inch wheels give the car a stylish impression.

Spacious interior with the latest equipment

The e:NP2’s body dimensions are 4787mm in length, 1838mm in width, 1570mm in height, and 2735mm in wheelbase. With an overall length close to that of the flagship SUV “CR-V e:FCEV” equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell, and a wheelbase extended to 2735mm, it ensures a spacious interior. By adopting the “e:N Architecture F” platform designed specifically for EVs, it has been optimized for EV powertrains and also enhances comfort.

Inside, the large 12.8-inch display audio is eye-catching. Equipped with the latest Honda CONNECT, it supports gesture and AI assistant operation, allowing for intuitive operation. It also features an aroma system, a first for a Honda vehicle, to support a comfortable drive.

The car’s status and location can be checked from a smartphone or smartwatch, and safety is also taken into consideration, with a camera in the back seat checking to see if any children have been left behind and sending a message if a child is detected. A BOSE sound system is also included, allowing you to enjoy high-quality sound.

The intelligent heating system, which improves winter comfort, is also a first for a Honda vehicle. It minimizes power consumption through coordinated control of the air conditioning and heater, while also heating the front and rear seats, steering wheel, and driver and passenger side door areas, improving comfort and quietness.

The luggage space has been expanded thanks to the latest platform and is now equipped with an electric tailgate for improved usability.

EV powertrain delivers powerful driving

The e:NP2 is equipped with the latest electric powertrain. The electric motor delivers a maximum output of 204ps and a maximum torque of 31.6kgm, and the 68.8kWh battery provides a range of 545km. Sport and SNOW modes are also available, and the Honda EV sports sound allows you to enjoy an exhilarating ride.

Advanced safety equipment “Honda SENSING”

The e:NP2 comes standard with the latest safety driving support system, “Honda SENSING.” By combining a front wide-view camera that detects the area ahead at a wide angle with a total of eight sonar sensors installed at the front and rear of the vehicle, the existing functions have been expanded and a short-range collision mitigation brake has been added. In addition, “ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) with Traffic Jam Following Function” has been adopted, contributing to reducing driver fatigue.

Expected price and release date

The price of the e:NP2 in China starts at approximately 3.4 million yen. The price in Japan has not yet been announced, but we expect it to be competitively priced despite featuring the latest equipment.

The car will be imported from China and is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in December 2025. Honda plans to promote its next-generation technology by expanding its EV model lineup.

The e:NP2 combines advanced technology with a sophisticated design, making it an important model in Honda’s EV strategy. We can’t wait for its release in Japan in December 2025. Stay tuned for future updates.
