About Hyundai Performance EV “Ioniq 5N”

The IONIQ 5N is based on the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform, leveraging the expertise Hyundai has gained through the development of the RM20e, RN22e, and N Vision 74 Rolling Lab. Compared to the standard IONIQ 5, it is 20mm lower, 50mm wider, and 80mm longer. The front is immediately noticeable with a new splitter, air flaps, and air curtains, while the rear features a unique spoiler, a prominent diffuser, triangular brake lights, and a different rear window wiper from the standard IONIQ 5. It also comes standard with a set of 21-inch forged aluminum wheels shod with 275/35 Pirelli P Zero tires.
The interior has also been significantly changed from the regular IONIQ 5, with an all-new steering wheel and various N buttons, including an N Green Boost button. The car also features new metal paddle shifters for the regenerative braking system, and the center console now has knee pads and shin support for circuit driving. N bucket seats are also standard, and the car is also equipped with optimized pedals. The car also features an N Corner Caving Differential (e-LSD), which transmits optimal motor output to the left and right rear wheels.

The IONIQ 5 N is powered by a larger 84 kWh battery pack and features improved electric motors, both front and rear. The front motor produces 166 kW (222 hp) and the rear motor produces 282 kW (378 hp), for a combined total of 448 kW (601 hp), with a maximum output of 478 kW (641 hp). In boost mode, this gives the car even more power than the Kia EV6 GT. The higher power figures enable the IONIQ 5 N to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h.
